Job Duties
-Provide engineering expertise for evaluating the structural integrity of forklift product designs during the design and development process.
-Perform structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of product, structure, and component designs to ensure design goals are met and integrity conforms to company and industry standards.
-Perform dynamic analysis of vehicles to support structural analysis and stability compliance.
-Perform fatigue analysis using appropriate tools.
-Specify testing required to support load case development and to confirm result validity.
-Propose and evaluate alternative solutions to provide design improvements.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related
-2 or more years of mechanical design experience (Salary will be commensurate with experience)
-Skilled in finite element analysis (FEA), computer aided design (CAD), 3-D modeling, and simulation software; preferably Nastran, FEMAP, Simcenter, and NX CAD
-Good written communication, verbal communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
-Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
-Ability to travel occasionally with overnight stays (0-5%)
-Per 8-hour shift: Sit 8 hours and stand 2 hours. Typical office environment (low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.)
