This role isn’t just about supporting clinical trials - it’s about orchestrating them with precision, strengthening Novo Nordisk’s scientific presence, and turning strategic priorities into lasting medical impact.

Your new role

In this role, you will facilitate Novo Nordisk leadership within all Therapy Areas (Diabetes, Obesity, Cardiovascular, Liver Disease & Chronic Kidney Diseases) across Region Europe & Canada (EUCAN) by providing strategic medical support and coordination in the execution of the clinical trials in the region and building Novo Nordisk medical scientific presence according to identified strategic priorities.

Your other responsibilities would include:

-Strategic coordination of Clinical Medical Manager Leads across EUCAN providing guidance on priorities and operations based on guidance from region and International Operations (IO), ensuring alignment between CMMs/Leads across the region as well as acting as IO point of contact for CMMs in relevant areas.
-Strategic input in the identification of KOLs, investigators and research centres developing plans for longer term partnering with Novo Nordisk.
-Collect early scientific insights and guidance.
-Contribute to delivering successful clinical trials (phase II-IV) in collaboration with clinical operations.
-Deliver Medical guidance, providing timely guidance and coordination of the internal trainings by supporting training creation and delivering training to regional CMMs and clinical staff.

The Clinical Development & Regulatory Affairs department is one of the key functions that enable the business strategy through effective execution of functional goals, in the areas of Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs. The position of Director Clinical-Medical Management is in Ørestad, Capital Region of Denmark.

Your skills & qualifications

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with solid experience in human healthcare research either from university or pharmaceutical industry; understanding of pharmaceutical drug development and expertise in the relevant therapeutic areas are essentials for the role.

Moreover, you meet the following requirements:

-MD or PhD in healthcare with strong clinical and preferably research background.
-Minimum of 7 years of clinical/medical pharmaceutical industry experience.
-Understanding the specificities and nuances of healthcare infrastructures.
-Experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Scienceor Clinical Development could be preferred.
 

We are seeking a dynamic professional with exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, able to build trust and foster strong relationships across diverse functions and levels. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of influence, guiding decision-making and driving alignment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with hands-on operational execution, navigating complexity with agility and clarity. Indirect leadership, collaboration, and the ability to mobilize others around shared goals are essential to succeed in this position.
